How we handle your data.

We collect the minimum information needed to file your Eurostar compensation claim, and nothing else. This page tells you what we store, why, and for how long, in plain English.

What we collect

• Identity— your first name, last name, and the email address you used to book your Eurostar ticket. Required by Eurostar's claim form.
• Booking details— your 6-letter booking reference (PNR), 9-digit ticket number (TCN), travel date, origin, destination. Required by Eurostar's claim form.
• The incident— your description of the delay, the delay duration, the fare you paid, and your preferred payout method. Used by our eligibility brain and Eurostar's form.
• Submission artifacts— screenshots of Eurostar's confirmation page, captured by our bot for your records. Stored on our servers until you delete the claim.

What we don't collect

We do not collect your bank details, card numbers, or government ID. Eurostar pays you directly to the account they have on file or sends an e-voucher to your booking email — neither passes through us.

Who we share with

• Eurostar— your details are submitted to Eurostar's compensation portal exactly as you would submit them yourself. That is the entire point of the service.
• Anthropic— your delay description and a subset of booking facts are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to compute the eligibility verdict. Anthropic does not retain this data for training (their commercial API terms apply).
• Nobody else.We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics partners beyond standard error-tracking.

How long we keep it

Active claims: until Eurostar resolves the claim, plus 90 days for your records. Closed/abandoned claims: 30 days. You can request deletion at any time and we'll comply within 7 days.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our processing. Email hello@refund-app.example and we'll respond within 30 days.
